If the flight isn't packed, we'd like a whole row by the window to our selves and be able to lift the armrests up to do a makeshift bed. Thanks!

IIRC A/B do not, but B/C do. If you want a makeshift bed, get a large carry on and put it on the floor in front of 68A, and you'll have yourself a nice bed of sorts.

The K seats do not have a moveable armrest. The tray table and ICE screen are in/under the armrest.

As far as I know, EK don't fly any A320s.

A6-EBY Refurbished and re-enters service

A6-EBY Refurbished and re-enters service

After 5 weeks in the hangar, A6-EBY a B777-300ER has been refurbished and re-entered service today, 28 February operating EK029/030 DXB-LHR-DXB.

The aircraft now sports Suites in F, lie-flat seats in J and new Weber seats in Y.

Note, the IFE on this aircraft remains ICE not ICE digital widescreen.

This is the last of the 5x B77W sub-fleet that had SkyCruisers in F, lie flats in J and Weber seats in Y but also over head crew rest area. So the fleet cabin simplification program moves a step forward - one more sub-fleet eliminated.

Fleet info post now incorporates this update.

Do they need 5 weeks just to outfit the aircraft with the new F cabin, or is it one of many maintenance procedures carried out?

Maintenance is combined with cabin refurbishment. Plus other upgrades such as Aeromobile connectivity etc.

The aircraft now sports lie-flat seats in J and new Weber seats in Y.

Note, the IFE on this aircraft remains ICE not ICE digital widescreen.

This is the fourth of the 6x B77W sub-fleet that had deep reclining seats J and old economy seats in Y.

"Sleeperettes" are no Business class!

The Emirates "Sleeperettes" are basically an improved Economy Class...
Don't get fooled by the name, you will not be able to sleep at all on these things. Thank god they will phase out the planes that still have those, but only until 2015.

Has nothing to do with an up-to-date Business Class. Do not book any flights with Emirates that offers these seats! - You will be totally frustrated, even if you don't have to pay for the flight yourself!
