EK Lounge DEL

Hi All

Does know if the EK lounge has opened in Delhi T3 yet? There were numerous news reports back in Juky of EK investing $2m in a lounge, but EK still says they use the ITC lounge.

I'm flying on 18th LHR-DXB then 20th DXB-DEL and then on 30th DEL-DXB.

Cheers

Hi,

The EK Lounge in DEL T3 will not come up before July 2011. Lot of delays thanks to DIAL. So you will be using the ITC Lounge located on the upper level for the time being.

BTW I find this lounge pretty as poor and never use it but since your flights are in the FOGGY days so this lounge might prove to be pretty handy just in case.@:-)

Safe Flying

Thanks for the info, won't be spending much time in Delhi so hopefully won't need to bare the ITC lounge for too long!

I used the upstairs lounge in October, and it was disappointing. I was surprised that the new terminal would have a tiny, unimpressive lounge such as this one. That being said, a large part of the airport was under construction, as was the lounge, so things may have changed by now. Back then, however, even the restroom facilities were outside the lounge.

Of course - every EK lounge on the network has all of that. I can't really a picture an EK lounge without food and drink ( and I mean proper stuff) - the pax would probably hold the lounge staff at ransom!

Thats all to the good but it would be nice to have a confirmation There was a problem with showers and the drinks selection in most DEL lounges to date has been appalling WHen I was Gold on BA I used the BA FIRST lounge on BOM and that did not have the same quality as others.
