- The ultimate Emirates seating guide
The idea is to leave the other stickies on while the new one is populated, and then un-sticky the other two, as mentioned by eightblack in his post. I think this is all the more relevant because there is too much information to wade through in different places that no one (even the EK FFs) know the answer to off the top of their head.

1. EK seating is like a game of Russian roulette. Period. There's no way to know for sure what to expect. Occasionally flights are pulled, equipment is changed, etc. for short periods of time, or even at the very last minute. The cabin configs and seating are so very diverse, there's just no way to tell what you're in for exactly - though mostly the product (e.g. ICE) is excellent. And that's OK with me.
The idea is not to know what to expect on a flight, but to know what the odds are and what the different products are. Even ek.com doesn't do a great job of explaining the various versions of seats, and that's something that should be easily accessible.

2. Some pple like to find/share information about this kind of stuff, and there is an active thread for that. E.g. pple complaining about the somewhat outdated (for EK standards) A330 cabins. Anyway, one thread should suffice. It doesn't need to be a sticky.
Information and discussion are different things. It's good to know what FFs on this forum think of best seats for a couple of solo traveller - we keep getting new threads being started on this. Why or why not EK should change their product on the 330 can always exist in parallel with something like this.

3. The fleet is also of influence on the new routes / destinations / flights... as pointed out in another thread on the subject.

4. Some sort of consolidation of the aforementioned threads would be welcome though.
Agree on point 4, but think it makes sense to create an entirely new thread rather than purge the existing ones. If you consolidate them, that's too much for anyone to read, with a lot of outdated information that has no relevance and is incomplete.

Of course we can have ad-hoc threads about any of the aformentioned subjects, as we frequently do, and as should be searchable through the website's search engine.

Motion: delete sticky.
