Announcing a new moderator
Please welcome eightblack as the new forum moderator. He actively flies Emirates and considers it "his" airline. He knows the program and he knows the carrier. He has been an active participant in this forum. We appreciate the energy he is bringing to this new role.
Please thank thezipper who has been the moderator here for many years. In fact, I think he has been the only moderator. He will continue to be a moderator in the Delta forum. We appreciate his years of service.

Thank you for the welcome note. Whilst I wish EK was "my" airline, it is certainly the airline I have become fond of and the one I have spent a great deal of time on over the past 18-months.
And I'm looking forward to adding as much value to the EK board as possible.
I also acknowledge that there are a lot smarter people than me within the group - and I certainly don't profess to know it all.
Finally, I hope you will join in the conversation if you're new to the EK community.

Welcome! Hope you don't have any more pear-shaped MRs anytime soon- it might be OK to read about them but I imagine they aren't so much fun to experience.

Congrats eightblack... hope you enjoy your stay in the EK forum as much as I did... now when are you going to do a SIN-DXB-LHR run with 4 hours between flights ?
