A6-ECS at GLA?
A few months ago I flew GLA-DXB, and as it was my first flight on EK I particularly made a note of the aircraft registration, which was A6-ECS. I found out subsequently that this is a 3-class aircraft, while GLA is of course a 2-class route.
I am certain I got the reg correct, so is it likely that a 3-classer is sometimes substituted? I check this route regularly and noticed no repetition so far.
Not too important, but would satisfy my curiosity!

Can't comment on GLA, but from BHX I've been in a 3 class probably 5 times over the last year. Due to this, whenever I fly out of BHX I make sure I have a seat on 1st / 2nd row of business booked.
You don't get first class service on a 2 class plane, but the seats are a little bit more comfortable.

Have flown from DXB to GLA in 3 class aircraft, seat 1A was not such a shock to the system after 1K from AKL to DXB. Have also flown from DXB to GLA in 2 class aircraft with new biz class. Seat selection shows new configuration for flights which I am taking in Feb and March 2011 although Services by Flight indicates deeply reclining seats but hey 2K on the A380 will make up for that!
