Good bye Emirates
As painful as this is to me, I saying good bye to emirates for now and will be flying Qatar Airways on my next trip to india. I am just been reading TOO MANY bad reviews of Emirates's Economy experience, and their 3-4-3 seating is really too cramp for me.
The Skywards changes and the high prices for a one tickets were the last straw. Emirates have to understand that people like me who like Emirates NOW have other choices, and I would rather fly in a wider Qatar Airline seat of almost 19 inches and 34 seat pitch than in a narrow 17 inch and a 34 seat pitch. And the prices are cheaper.
And after Emirates changed its Skywards program which made it harder for someone to upgrade, and it became the same as Qatar airways. I loved it before when I could upgrade on any fare with the same miles, and that inspired my loyality to stay with them because I knew that after one economy flight I could get to Silver status and upgrade to business class. What they have NOW is really bad.
Emirates, please change your skywards program back to the old program, and widen your seats on the long haul flights before you loose more passengers to Eithad and Qatar Airways!! I want to fly your airline, but not until you make adjustments. May be you can with more A 380 coming on line. I am waiting for that to happen. Your fleet of 777 300 ER are NOT doing the job for me.

One flight and getting to Silver is exactly one of the things that was wrong with Skywards.

Unless you're spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on the airline, there's no reason for them to care. Fact is they are growing rapidly, and there's no incentive for them to give you any of the things you're asking for. By all means go to QR/ EY, but it's not like they're perfect either.
