Skywards queries
Hi Folks,
My mom will be travelling EK for the 1st time and has never been to DXB airport earlier.
I went thru this forum and understand that it makes more sense to make her a Skywards member ( even though she will travel max once a year medium to long haul) and then redeem it for any kinds of award tickets than enrolling for family bonus program where I earn only 20% of the miles..
My questions are :
1. Is there any promo going on wherein she can get extra award miles for taking her 1st flight ??
2. Any promo I can enrol her for ??
Solicit ur advises..
Thanks
Abhi

IIRC the first flight bonus is automatic with Skywards (it was when I signed some friends up last year) so there is nothing specific you need to do for that.
The only concern about an infrequent traveler with Skywards is that miles have a "hard expiry" date which cannot be extended (unlike most programs which roll over the expiry date if you have account activity).
