Quick update bhx-dxb
I came back yesterday in J class on the afternoon flight EK40 BHX-DXB. Almost full flight, 3 empty seats in Y and 3 in J
BHX airport the busiest i had seen it......
I saw the manifest in the lounge and there was a total of 13 golds on the flight, no OPUP's offered.
They had the new aircraft, well the new seats in J (finally) with the single row at the back of J class (not nice - for me anyway).
Great crew they were kept busy the entire flight, with lots o trips to Y class where it sempt like the Polar Express from the noise.
The first weekend of government school holidays, so plenty of kids going away for the summer.
No greetings for Gold pax, i saw 3 other gold member cards on bags and nothing for any of us, no priority passes handed out on landing into DXB.
A surprising amount of DXB only passengers, judging by the bags on the belt into DXB.

Agreed this row is claustraphobic and really noisy being right next to the Yclass cabin.

It is row 6 on the new layout in full agreement not good seats. I was seated there on my last trip out of BHX in June.
I think the service level there seems to be sub-standard as well, tendency for the crew to forget about you. Better of in the main J cabin.
Also rare to get a welcome back or any sort of greeting out of BHX.
Best Regards
