EK Cancelled Flight

Emirates cancelled the EK412 on 11th May from Auckland to Sydney. They never told me why at the check in.

I was upset as this was the A380 and as a gold member and checking in online they did not even email or call to let me know.

I am asking and still asking one question. If EK cancelled the flight and put me on a qantas flight, why do I still not get credited the EK miles? Its not my fault right? I booked the flight (via BKK) so I could claim all the bonus miles. I asked the EK staff and she was not sure, they called the office and they dont know, dubai dont know the answer!

Now I am missing the Tier Miles, Skywards Miles and Tier Miles.

I emailed skywards and they advised me to send me a eticket................EK just booked me a flight only, I had 15 minutes to catch the flight. Still waiting for their reply

Anyone have this happen before?

There has been a number of flights cancelled on the A380 at Auckland (Engineers have to be flown in etc) - Passengers are often not told until they get to the Airport.

This happened to me, and i opted to fly the next day. When i did check in the next day i asked them what happened and they said passengers were put on alternative flights (towards the end of the day/midnight) on QF! I never asked about compensation as i was going on holiday and i was trying to relax... J Ticket with F U/G.
