Dual-class bookings

Tried to do a multi-destination booking FRA-DXB-BNE-SIN-DXB-FRA on the Emirates website, all on business except DXB-BNE on First. While the Emirates office said this would not be possible, the website did in fact accept it, and went through the whole booking/pricing process, took my credit card info, etc, but at the very last step said it encountered a technical problem and to call their office. What's happening here? Is it just a website glitch that allowed me to book a mixed-class itinerary, whereas it is really not allowed? Wouldn't be the first time the Emirates website behaves erratically!

Yeah, I managed to complete a multi-class booking on the EK website in January, 2 in first and 2 in business...but I have tried to book the same flights since for someone else, and it gives me the same error after selecting all the flights.

Maybe a website glitch, try booking it through your local call centre, hopefully they won't charge you the phone booking price as it's their fault the website has a glitch.

I didn't know there was a price difference between ek.com and ek call centre.

I think the price difference was last year with the 10% discount for on-line booking.
Sadly, this seems to have disappeared.

That discount was applicable to redemption bookings, not to revenue bookings. The only difference till a month ago would have been the online booking bonus miles.

in india, there is a difference with internet vs call center prices. A one way ticket to LHR is 19,800 Rupees vs. On the Phone was 20,400. About US $ 15.

Not too much, but interesting.
