Strange
I was recently in the lounge in BKK, the area close to the toilets where the TV is located was roped off and a sign saying this area is reserved for VIP guests.
I like siting there after something to eat and catch up on the BBC news. I was flying out on 385, don't know if there was any VIP's on our flight or on 419 later on. Anybody else come across this in BKK or anywhere else, hope it was a one off.
Another flight a day later approaching BHX I was in Y the purser came round and handed me a fast track arrival card for Dubai ??
Best Regards

Never been handed the DXB fast track yet since January. Been given one at BKK.
Nothing to do with emirates, but boy do I wish there was fast-track in CGK
Word of advice, pass by the loo before getting in the immigration line. an hour and a half is a long time to be standing and squirming. The guy in front of me was doing the "Am gonna hold it dance" for an hour.
Indonesian immigration is busy taking prints of everyone and that is slowing s**t down like crazy http://www.saphire.co.id/announcement.htm
The whole taking prints thing got me thinking, while growing up if someone got "printed by the authorities" it was assumed that they did something bad.I.e it was considered a bad thing! And regular people never got their finger prints taken.
However in this day and age every consents to being printed ( saw kids being printed at CGK after waiting in long lines, the same has been happening in other countries for a while ). When did this social attitude towards law enforcement change. /RANT over
Guess am a grumpy old man it took years of training

They've been doing that for a while (beginning of year?) for Golds seated in Y.

Oh, my bad. That's very strange indeed. Though, at T3 in DXB, do they still ask to see your BP before letting you use a fast track card? I tried using someone else's fast track card (since said person has e-gate), but they wanted to see the BP.
