how to keep points from expiry

Part of my Skywards points will expire in March. Will a purchase of points or a transfer from SPG extend the expiry date? Advise please, thanks!

I don't think there is anything you can do..

I used some points that were set to expire in JAN '10.. I'm worried now.. since I want to change the flight.. that if the points get refunded to my skywards account I'll lose them.

Can I extend my Miles which are expiring?
Sorry, no. As per the terms and conditions of the Skywards program, validity of Miles cannot be extended.

You could always gift a free flight or upgrade to a collegue or friend on the understanding they do the same back for you in the future.

Or you could donate them, assuming that the miles are too few for a redemption
