Ok maybe I'm a conspiracy theorist or maybe I'm just looking for the unobtainable, but I've tried on 5 different occasions to book a business class reward ticket on South African from JNB to either MUC or FRA and no matter how much advance warning I give nor how flexible I am with my dates, Skywards always comes up with nothing. My antenna started tweaking the last time it happened when the guy on the phone at skywards asked why I particularly wanted South African when there was a perfectly good Emirates reward from JNB to FRA in business.... The only problem is that the South African reward costs 85000 miles and is a direct flight whereas the Emirates one costs 150000 and involves a stopover in Dubai...
Am I paranoid in thinking that they don't want to give out these cheaper rewards ?
