I'm doing another trip to the U.S. here are my details:
EK 531. COK-DXB. NOV 24th. DEP 0930. ARV 1200.
EK 203. DXB-JFK. NOV 25th. DEP 0200. ARV 0720.
EK 202. JFK-DXB. DEC 7th. DEP 2300. ARV 2030.
EK 532. DBX-COK. DEC 8th. DEP 2205. ARV 0320.

I'm booked on Economy. I want to upgrade my DXB-JFK sector to business class using miles. But when I tried doing it online & calling skywards, they both told me that its not available!??!?! Otherthan flying in BIZ, I wanna do this also so that i can get a booking at the transfer hotel Le Meridian (DXB) while i'm there for the 14 hours on the way up. PLUS get the chauffeur service when i land in JFK.

1. Can you guys tell me how to get about doing this?
2. When will the seats open for upgrade?
3. What are my other options? alternatives?

the 830am flight on 25th has Upgrade seats availa-- for your flight J is under half full.

the return flight J has only a handfull of seats reserved so far.

There is a good chance it wil open up for both- question is when-- including on day of departure.

I tried it for the five day trial and now signed up for one month as I am waiting for a J-F (Z) upgrade availability.

can someone give me an update on the upgradable seats? i wanna check on tuesday 8:30 a.m flight too, dxb-jfk. thanks!

the 2:00am flight on 25th has no upgrade avail and is also Waitlist for full fare J - not much hope for this flight! and the 8:30am on 24th has no avail for upgrade.

Still appears to be space on 25th 8:30am for upgrades

I am faced with a similar situation. Booked on the 2am flight on Dec. 14 from DXB to JFK. No mileage upgrades available.

i got my upgradable seat for tuesday on ek 201 dxb-jfk!!!!!!!!!! yayyyy! it opened up so last minute! hopefully i have enough time to book my chauffeur service for pick up!!!!!! :0
