About the Independence Day Flyby:
This is the first year that EL AL is taking part in the Independence Day Flyby for the enjoyment of the citizens of Israel. Four EL AL aircraft will take part in the flyby, with Captain Dror Gorelik, Director of the EL AL Flight Operations Division, piloting the lead plane, the Boeing 747-400 Tel Aviv, saluting Tel Avivs 100th anniversary, followed by three other EL AL aircraft: the 777-200 Sderot, a 767 Mishmar Ha-Emekand finally the 737 Kinneret.FYI: the flyby will take off from Ben-Gurion Airport at 12:30pm, with the four EL AL Boeing planes lifting off at intervals of two minutes. They will take off in the direction of the sea, where they will organize into a right-face single file line and then head to the North. Above Nahariya, they will enter the flyby flight path over the beach and fly in formation at a height of 1500 feet at a distance of half a mile from the coast.

hello, that's nice. I wish I were in Tel Aviv...

Which 767 is "Mishmar Ha-Emek". I didn't know that LY 767s had names!
