Hi
The video entertainment program on the vidibox is changed on a monthly basis (on the first day of the month), apart from channel's 2 news edition, which updates daily.
Contents that are identified as popular by the passengers (as is showed by our statistics) might run for a longer period.

Regards

This is a different system for planes without IFE. More details in this thread.

Any chance we'll be getting the Channel 2 News on the 744's and 777's (old and new) anytime soon?

Channel 2 special news edition for EL AL is broadcasted today on board all of the 737, 767 and 777 fleet.
Soon, once we upgrade the entertainment systems on board the 747, we will be able to broadcast the news on these planes as well.

I very much doubt it, not if you want to see a good quality (as much as these units can provide one anyway) picture.

Why would you anyway?

Audio?

Is someone able to tell me how one listens to the audio on the vidibox? Can I bring my own headphones or are special headphones provided/required?

Thank you!
