If EAC went back into service on April 11th, then it's unrelated to the stranded passengers as the volcano erupted April 14th.

Time you knew, ELAL are capable of everything (Shkedy might of told one of the stward's to super glue it back together) ;).

I don't know if El Al's capability of doing "everything" is really a positive element when it comes to maintenance.
