Does this fare seem unusual?

I just got an email from a US based travel agent who specializes in Israel pitching Business Class Companion Fares on EL AL. It's $2965 per pax, plus tax and fuel (like $218 last time I saw it), so really call it $3200 each. It's ORD-TLV-ORD for departures between 10/21/06 - 10/25/07.

Given what I've seen on CO and DL, this seems reasonably competitive. Have any of you seen EL AL biz fares this 'low' before?

Why not be competitive?

Picking up random dates in Jan 2007 I see CO and AZ fares at ~$2915 including taxes on ORD-TLV.

Exclamation

You might want to be flexible about dates. Expedia.com, orbitz, travelocity doesnt allow purchase for more than 330 days...

I'm not arguing with you. This is just the first time I've seen biz seats at any price even close to those of CO before.
