El Al Fined by US for delaying refunds
El Al was one of 6 carriers fined for delaying refunds during Covid.

The real money is in the mandated refund, a reimbursement to customers. The fine itself is unfortunately too little in comparison to the mandated reimbursement amount.

I think that when we are talking about an airline that almost went bankrupt we have to show some understanding. I believe the problem was how long it took--not that it was never given. --Personally i had two cancelled flights. With the 25% extra to accept vouchers, I did very well.
