If you want to actually sit NEXT to you companion pick an odd numbered center.Seats in row 1,3, 5 and 7 D and G
this map is accurate in terms of the illustration
https://seatguru.com/airlines/El_Al/...eing_787-9.php
but numbering has changed and the rows are 1-8!

AeroLOPA, which was developed and is owned by one of our moderators, has more accurate seat maps and the correct row numbers, and better graphics that show the window locations, in case that you want to avoid windowless "window" seats when not sitting in the center.

except for the numbering, the map on seat guru is accurate. Re-numbering isn’t a big deal.

Alone I like 2A or 2K. One means you are seated on the aisle while 2 has you next to the window.

the middle seat is an odd number and the two on either side are even.
