TLV
Hello All,
Not really an ElAl question but I'm assuming this is the most knowledgeable place for TLV questions.
Is there fast track security for BA/VS business/elite flyers? Main terminal not fattal/other additional options. Just wondering if there's a side fast track or something and whether there's also fast track for the interview stage. Thanks

After the check-in counters, when you proceed to the security screening, it's usually the line on the right side, near the H.Stern store.
However, I've only bothered to use it once as it's also usually where they will bring wheelchair passengers through, so ofter the so-called "priority" lane ends up being just as slow, or slower than the regular lane.

It has been known to exist, but don't expect it, the only "fast track" for the interview is a HBO line, it may speed things up, it may not. As to there being one before the X-Ray screening, I have had the chance to use the fast track, but I don't have expectations that it will be in place.Pre Covid I have found myself in the lounge within 20 mins of arrival ( including buying fags in Duty ~Free), Nov 2021 took 45 mins; Feb 2022 about the same; May 2022 was 90 mins. For my trip next month I shall just go with the flow and what will be will be.

The mentioned right hand fast track route has not been operating as such for more than a year (in my experience). Last week I saw that they have finally removed the misleading "Fast Track" signs from there.

Feeding into this I am visiting Israel for the second time in a few years next summer. Despite being an Aussie and guessing because of heritage, the first time I visited I was given a looooooong but professional 'welcome' of 3 hrs upon arriving at TLV from LHR. A similar 'farewell' occurred on departure.
This time I'm hoping because I already have a history - (read a physical file I saw being made up with all my details and pic), I'm hoping my arrival and departure may be expedited being a known entity - or is that wishful thinking? I arrive in on LT and depart on RJ, both in J class. On departure should I be checking-in 3 or 4 hrs before my flight or longer perhaps, just in case I get the same extended farewell
?

I went to the fast track the other day at TLV flying LY business and it wasn't any faster than the regular x-ray line because of all the people cutting in line.

I believe that! However I have a big mouth and have no problem pointing to the rear! I find once I do that - others become empowered and do it too!
