Elal had direct flights to/from Munich starting in July. They just cancelled all direct flights to/from Munich and now only have direct flights starting Aug 2.
Anyone know why they changed their plans?

Yes. They have been rolling the cancellation of flights for months now, to nearly everywhere. The more cynical of us believe this is so you buy tickets, then they will cancel your flight, hold your money, while they play the endless ping-pong game of trying to get you to take a voucher and delaying endlessly your refund. Don't book on El Al for the time being if you have any need for the money.

Maybe. The difference however is every single other airline (including other Israeli ones!) refund your money when they cancel their flights. So I would tend to discount the idea that Covid only impacts El Al alone.
