Elal Dreamliner stuck in Hong Kong due to a cat

https://www.ynet.co.il/vacation/flig...icle/r1173t5YD

Article in Hebrew from Nov 12: due to finding traces of a cat on the Dreamliner and the international restriction that a plane can't fly with an animal loose on the plane the plane is grounded.
Elal and local staff were unable to find or trap the wayward cat.

Put a dog on the plane. He will find the cat immediately.

Could you enlighten those of us who are not fluent in Hebrew about what "traces" were found? Hairs from a cat, or a furball, perhaps? To me, it sounds curious that they found "traces" but they couldn't find the cat itself.

No need to guess since it states EDL in the article I quoted:
From flight data, we can ascertain that the only of the airline’s 787s in Hong Kong at the time was 4X-EDL. The Dreamliner arrived in Hong Kong on November 10th at 11:20 and was scheduled for departure that same evening at 22:00. Instead, it took off on November 12th at 18:10 and arrived back in Tel Aviv at 23:09.

Is it confirmed that the cat is OK? Couldnt be much water or food unless he could get in and out.

Poor thing.

Yes, I think so. The cat should be just fine. They will find the rightful owner.

There's no owner.
There are literally thousands upon thousands of wild / stray cats in Israel.
New York city has squirrels & rats, Israel has cats.

How do you know?? I remember I saw a cat outside restaurant. We went out a dinner.

I did not realize that. They are very wild cats in Israel. They don't like people.
