Passed through the airport today (full details in my live TR) and was pleased to see a LY 747 parked at one of the new gates. Once airside I realised - as I expected - that it still not operating but I was able to take a quick photo of the new concourse, which seems very near to completion.





I assume that LY will remain at D because of the KD lounge; does anyone has any info about this?

As it is, LY also uses B and C, and other airlines do use D. D is more like a "focus" for LY as opposed to a "hub."

Any photos yet? Did it really open today? I'm flying on Sunday afternoon, so I could try to get some photos then if nothing surfaces earlier.

I landed today in the morning and could not see anything. In fact, the arrival corridor was still blocked as I passed by.

The articles say that there will be a new lounge in the concourse. Any info who will operate it?

Apparently the new concourse was launched today and named after Haim Corfu, minister of transportation in the 80s
