seat selection on LY booked as an AA codeshare
I booked a business class ticket through AA which includes an LY segment. Is it possible to select seats before checkin? If so, how -- I do not see a way to do so on the LY website. If not, when exactly can I do so? My situation applies when the LY segment is my first segment as well as when it is the last, so I will need to check in with LY for the former, but will be checking in with AA for the latter.

After 3 EXP agents and 2 AC agents were unable to help, the EXP agent I spoke with today was immediately able to assign seats and get a confirmation back from LY. And I see the seat assignments when I pull up the PNR on LY's website. So I am very happy
