I haven't seen this asked, but: is there any indication of whether El Al will retrofit existing aircraft with the new business/premium Y product?

Latest is that starting oct 29 EWR will be flown on 789
Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday with LHR rotation on Monday and Thursday
March 789 will start flying to HKG

That'll be interesting considering the current aircraft have F and more J seats. Still will generally be an upgrade for passengers. 1x2x1 beats UA's 2x2x2 for solo travelers and also for some couples.

Actually today UA is starting 77W service with new direst access Polaris seats on EWR -TLV.
over 60 seats



UA90 Newark to Tel Aviv departing 10:45PM arriving 4:20PM (+1 day)
UA91 Tel Aviv to Newark departing 11:10PM arriving 4:15AM (+1 day)

You are correct, though the other 16:40 flight remains on a 772.

Guess I'd go UA 77W>LY787>UA 772 when it comes to J.

I would go UA over LY when it comes to J on any aircraft...

Someone from elal came to our office today to try sell us on the business class on the Dreamliner and was adamant that business class was going to be 2-2-2 not 1-2-1

On the one hand, it wouldn't surprise me if the El Al rep is clueless and gave your wrong info; OTOH I wouldn't put it past the morons at LY to go with 2-2-2

They are having the event before the arrival of the 787?
I attended the 737-900 event, it near the LY hangar and the aircraft was parked there. We got free tours of the interior.
I probably complained about LY too much so they didn't invite me this time.
OTish - I am now in the Dan lounge, it's good to come here from time to time to remember that the KDL is not so bad.
