I was told by a VP a couple of weeks ago that they installed the same C seats as the 772 and 744. I doubt it very much though. The answer felt like a classic 'Israeli' style "be-erech" kind of answer. BUT - who knows? The AC is going to be dedicated to TLV-BOS as its going to spend 18 hours on the ground before turning around - not getting home before the following evening when 6 hours later another BOS flight leaves (how this makes sense re plane utilization I don't understand, but whatever . . . ) - so who knows: maybe they actually bought and installed 22 of their widebody C seats for this particular route?

He also said that they'll be using the 'dreamstream" system for inflight entertainment on this 767.

Would be lovely if one of our regulars were on that plane today.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 8_3 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/600.1.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/8.0 Mobile/12F70 Safari/600.1.4)

Indeed, although probably unlikely or they would have mentioned something here, but if so I hope they do come back to report.

I just don't get how they can dedicate one aircraft to one route.
What happens if (or more likely, when) it goes tech?

If we look at this from a logical business perspective, they would have touted and advertised an upgraded business class with much fanfare if one had been installed. They were already advertising the new route so it would have only made sense to lump it in with the ads.

However, we're talking about El Al here and I can't say I'd be too surprised to find out that they indeed upgraded the product on this route and didn't even bother mentioning it!

They say that Boston is the high tech capital of the US... I guess they're not ready to start flights to SFO yet.

They used 4X-EAM for the inaugural flight

I landed at Logan on a Delta flight yesterday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised to see an airplane with Magen David parked at Logan which I was not expecting just yet. And really cool that it was the inaugural flight.

Not the aircraft in the video - that was clearly a 744.

As discussed earlier, Biz on this aircraft is meant to have some sort of new hard product which no one yet seems to know what it looks like...
