http://worldairlinenews.com/2014/09/...-to-codeshare/ http://investor.jetblue.com/phoenix....654&highlight= B6 and LY established interline ticketing in 2010, today's action, if approved, will build on that. (B6 has a very limited number of interline ticketing agreements.) http://investor.jetblue.com/phoenix....cle&ID=1450835 Although no mention is made of frequent flier benefits, IMO, it is likely that one will be able to earn B6 miles for code-shared LY flights and visa-versa. |
AA & LY rekindle codeshare?
I saw this posted on Airliners.net, but I haven't been able to verify it anywhere on the web.
Maybe some of you will have better luck. American Airlines Expands El Al Codeshare Service from late-Dec 2014 Update at 0420GMT 24DEC14 American Airlines on 18DEC14 expanded codeshare operation with El Al Israel Airlines, which sees “AA” code appears on following El Al service between Europe and Israel. American Airlines operated by El Al Tel Aviv – Amsterdam Tel Aviv – Barcelona Tel Aviv – Frankfurt Tel Aviv – London Heathrow Tel Aviv – Milan Malpensa Tel Aviv – Munich Tel Aviv – Paris CDG Tel Aviv – Rome |
If this is the case, it hasn't loaded into AA's system yet...

Surprising news considering how the FF partnership was axed.
|
LY and AA shrink codeshare agreement
LY will also have their code on AA flights from Europe to the U.S.
There will be no FFP agreement or code sharing for us domestic flights. |
So can I earn AA miles on those flights and will they be elite qualifying?
|
You couldn't earn EQMs before the shrinking of the codeshare agreement, so even if you can earn miles, I highly doubt they will be EQMs
|
Anybody heard anything about this? I'm flying to MXP next week.

AA metal and LY code = no miles. LY metal and AA code = RDM only, based on the AA chart. In regard to AA-coded flights: EQM is earned only if the flight is operated by AA, OneWorld partners or Alaska airlines. |
Still says nothing about the codeshares it on the AA website.
|
At the gate now in FRA they announced the flight "In cooperation with AA"
|
The flight presumably also appeared as AA8382.
|
Still no info from AA on whether I can earn AA miles.
