King David

Can you go inside the King David in TLV
if you don't fly LY? I am talking about
GL PL TPL.
If the answer is yes, can you bring a guest?

A friend is asking

Yes for both questions - all GL members (and above) are KD members and as such can access the TLV lounge (+1 guest) when not flying LY. Have done so myself many times, both with and without a guest.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 6_1_4 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/536.26 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/6.0 Mobile/10B350 Safari/8536.25)

I can confirm I've done this many times as well.

Done it many times as well. Last time I entered KD lounge while not flying LY was earlier this month (August).
Last time flying non-LY with a guest was probably a couple of months before that.

Yes, you already told us that Lior, but we are all saying you can and we have done it (most of us more than once) so I don't know who told you you can't but they were either wrong or perhaps confused.

Just to make things clear:
Upon entering to the lounge you will notice a stand with touch screen, barcode reader and card reader. You can use this station to gain entrance to the lounge;

You will have 3 options:
  1. LY business class.
  2. Gold (and above) or KD.
  3. Guest.

Press the second option, than let the computer read your card and boarding pass, and you will gain access. Than start the process again, but press guest this time. Your guest will gain access as well.

There is no human involved in this process (although you can ask the attendant at the desk to allow you entering the lounge as well). The computer knows the rules very well (better than everyone else) and will allow the two of you to access the lounge. Therefore, whoever told you this is absolutely wrong - even if it was an LY official.
