4X-EAK?
I thought it was a typo on libhomeradar, but it seems that LY has a new 763: 4X-EAK since last june?? This is the first time I hear about it.
And obviously, it is not painted with LY full colours...

13 years is not that old..., Also we dont know what price the bought it (it was not in used since 10/2009) and if it was really worth it (probably yes).
I would prefer EL-AL to have 4 more like those rather one new one, As it will
provide more flights / routes where needed.
As for the partial colors, since its not the first one, i would say there might be some kind of a way to distinguish between types of planes (like lease vs owned).

There most be a reason (i hope so) why someone "forgot" putting a stripe or two, Painting the aircraft is a simply process, A bit expensive, but if you do already 70% of the plane then the rest is really minor...
Anyway, Now when EL-AL done 2009 with earning, and Q1 2010 almost looks better than whole 2009, They might end up 2010 very nice and be able to buy some paint.
Actually, Did you know that some airlines choose to be with bare metal liveries since it actually save on fuel (since its reduce weight)?

And so is 4X-EAJ (B763) even after being with ELAL for over 6 years, i'ts also still missing the stripe!
This again proves that the military personall trying to run a civilian airline, don't realize that the type and state of the aircraft seem to matter, and not only their technical capability as in military aircraft.
BTW this now brings ELAL's fleet to 4 B763's.

EAK should ask EBV to give her its stripe so that EBV could become all white
