Newark

Hello There,
I will be flying with LY to BOS this May. The outbound is via JFK, but the inbound is via EWR.
So my questions are regarding EWR:
I understand that LY uses a lounge in the Marriott hotel. Is that correct?
If so:
1. How far is it from the terminal?
2. Is that lounge normal?
3. How long before the flight LY make you leave the longe? Is there special security point for LY passengers coming from the lounge.
4. Let's say that I decide that I want to go to a lounge after security, and willing to pay to do so. I know that there are DL, LH, SK & BA lounges after security, but only the DL lounge is open when the LY flight departs that day (& I also can't access LH or SK lounges by paying, while I could access the BA lounge with my BA gold). Is the DL lounge worth the 23$ I would pay for it (instead of 50$ as I have Diners Credit Card), considering the fact that it is after security? Or should I just gove up or go the the LY lounge? Are there any more lounges in the terminal B?
5. From which gates does the LY flights depart from?

THX in advance.

Indeed, EL-AL uses the Marriott Hotel as its lounge,
Its not a special lounge (well it wasnt last time i was there) but the Hotel
Bar... its about 7 minutes drive from the airport.
You go there after check-in, and they take you from there quite early as you will need to do TSA security before.
If you think paying 23$ for the DL lounge and skip EL-AL's lounge you will get 20$ voucher for buying food/drink at the airport...
Dont remember about the gates, but i am quite sure its terminal B...

I dont like flying from EWR due to the lounge, Call me spoiled (or may_east will call me that anyway...) but i kinda like the JFK one!

So the EWR lounge is after security?
I took the EWR because it departes earlier, but if there was a JFK/YYZ flight at the same time I would take them.

Sorry if i was not clear, EWR lounge is after EL-AL Security but before TSA Security means that once you are back from the lounge to the airport you still need to pass TSA security (where they scan your hand luggage and etc...)
EL-AL is suppose to help you on faster process at this line, But from experience dont count on it too much...

Have a safe flight, Dont forget to complain later on in the forum about the
bad food or the service! (Just kidding, no need to open another thread for
that we all know!)

Not me, sitting in a B767 with no invidual entertainment system for such a long flight, would be the last thing I would do.

Note that there is the vidibox, and I will fly business class so in this case it would be free for me. However, the 767 has worse business class, so maybe I won't like flying throught YYZ.

Thanks. That's due to the security or due to the ride to the Marriott?

Both... Due to EL-AL Security (as the lounge is outside of the airport, and on the way to the lounge you could get yourself C4, Uzi, M16, LAO Missiles and etc), And the fact that you will need the ride and the entrance approval from EL-AL.

They're wider, and on some planes they have pretty good recline.
I'll take the 747 UD any day.
Oh, and only one lav on the 762? Seriously? Try getting ready for landing when C is full.

747 are 55" while 767 are 60" between each seat,
Seats are wider, softer and more comfortable...
I am almost 100% sure 747 UD have one LAV

Of the two up front, one is for the cockpit only. So in reality, its one in the front and one in the back.

BUT - on ELE (exSingapore) its just one LAV on the UD.
