Confused by Easyjet email: Get a credit file or a free transfer

I have a flight (RAK-MAD) booked on Easyjet. Today I got an email notifying me of a flight time change. Easyjet wants to know if I would prefer to:
"get a credit file"
or
"a free transfer"

I am not sure what either of these means. I would guess credit file means a refund and free transfer means flights changed to another time but I'm not 100% sure.

If someone could help me out with this British English, I would greatly appreciate it.

  • Free transfer = change flight date.
  • Credit file = e-voucher for the original fare amount paid (to be applied toward a different ticket), not a refund.
