EasyJet?
I'm planning a trip to london in march. Instead of using the train to get around, I was thinking about flying EasyJet. Anyone have experience they would like to share?
From what I understand, the are the SouthWest of Europe. Their fares are amazing compared to BA.

Don't count on necessarily being able to get cheaper fares on EasyJet than on BA. It depends on how much each airline has sold. EZY can often be as expensive, or more so, than BA.

But, Globaliser, I'm sure you wouldn't suggest that hsum shouldn't checl all alternatives! And other than FF award flights, BA haven't sold me any tickets for GBP 0.00, as easyJet have! Also, easyJet's extras (taxes and fees) are lower than BA's.
EasyJet now has a huge European network - check www.easyjet.com - and compares extremely well with other carriers for coverage. It's now the biggest operator between the UK and Nice, for example, and I think I read somewhere that the same applies between London and Scotland.
There have been several threads discussing easyJet, and hsum may want to search for these for advice. Then check out the destinations available.
Don't forget that easyJet is no longer just a UK airline. It also has hubs in Amsterdam, Geneva, Nice, Barcelona and Paris, for example. Also, unlike Ryanair, it uses the main airports of the cities it serves - except Heathrow, thank heavens.

hsum,
There are a couple of recent threads on easyJet, and quick search should turn them up.
Here's one to get you started:

Note they have a more limited schedule than major airlines, so check the website before you depend on them for transportation.

Had a very good experience on EJ. To get the cheapest airfare on EJ, you have to book well in advance. Prices go up as the plane fills up; check prices on different times too. You have to book online. Check their website for tips on public transportation options to reach the airports they serve--a taxi to London Stanstead is very expensive.

Flew EasyJet from London to Barcelona. Plane was new and on time. No complaints, especially at around $50 one way. Planes will be full but flights are quick and everyone gets on and off so quick that makes Southwest look slow.
Stansted Express train is quick and relatively cheap from London, the Airbus is even cheaper but takes longer.
This is the future of air travel. When the airline unions in the USA lose their power, expect similar service to expand here.
I especially like the ability to book one way flights in Europe. Makes for interesting open jaws or circle trips that can be on a combination of EasyJet, Ryanair, Buzz etc.

I have a LGW-BCN EasyJet segment on my trip report (US Envoy to Europe). THe fares are low, but not as low as they seem. THe base fares are easily doubled by surcharges, taxes, and fees.
I'd fly them again in a heartbeat.
