PAY UP

DONT FlY with EASY JET!! EVER
Flight from Palma to Southend
This was in September what a shambles😡😡

Our flight was cancelled while we were sitting on the plane with seatbelt fastened ready to depart!
STRESS !!
We had to leave the plane and no one was there to help at all
We booked our own:
Flight home (to a different airport)next day
accommodation
taxis
needed food
My husband lost a days pay
We claimed for these expenses
We had to show receipts and then they wanted proof we had paid
So had to send bank statements!!!!
We have been paid ONLY for one of us!!!!
Now we are told to re submit absolutely
EVERYTHING!!!
This is ridiculous!!!!!!!!
Has anyone else experienced this

Your post doesn't give much information to base advice on.

Would recommend you file complaint via.

Nowhere near enough detail to advise. My experience of EasyJet is that they are prompt at paying out reimbursement for things such as hotels or other accommodation. Contingent losses, such as the loss of a day's pay, are not included in reimbursement. Reimbursement is separate to compensation, which would only be payable if it was the airline's fault (e.g. technical issue rather than, say, bad weather).

As an FYI, the alternative dispute resolution service for EasyJet is https://www.aviationadr.org.uk/ not CEDR.

You can submit a claim for reimbursement of expenses actually incurred. That is it. Forget about lost salary or similar which is impossible to document/evidence. You only complicates the claim by including a day pay for your husband. Keep it simple!
