Easyjet Timing

I have EasyJets going from Naples -> Athens, and Athens -> Vienna. I haven't done any small flights around Europe before.. what is the recommended time to arrive at the airport? We would likely be checking bags. Also, does anyone know the typical time it takes for bags to come to the baggage claim after arrival?

First of all, welcome to FT!

Since Easyjet has a direct NAP-VIE I'm assuming your question is about two completely disconnected flights.

In general for an intra-Schengen flight (such as your NAP-ATH and ATH-VIE) two hours before departure is enough. Make it 2.5h if you're flying on high holiday season.

As far as getting your bag, it really depends. I'd say 30 minutes after arrival is probably not too far from the truth (by the time you disembark and walk to the exit it won't be much of a wait anyway).

If on the other hand you booked a "connection" on Easyjet, please report your flight numbers and times, as well as whether this is on one ticket or not. If not, I wouldn't touch it with less than 3-4h between flights.

I'm just back from Naples on easyJet a couple of hours ago. Landing there last week (from EDI) I was lucky enough to be first through immigration so no delay, and waited about 5 minutes for bags. That might not be reflected in ATH or VIE however and you might be better asking in the country forum.

Departing NAP this morning I arrived < 2 hours before departure, checked in a bag (easyJet Plus check in), had a cigarette, did some shopping went through security and passport control (you won't have that issue) and was still at the gate well before it opened.

I wouldn't normally recommend this, but if I had chosen to cut it close on departure I would have had no problem. Personally I like to relax when travelling and give myself plenty of time.

One thing to beware of, don't trust the app messages to tell you the right departure gate at NAP - check the boards as well.
