Bit hesitant to try easyjet
Next week I have to be in St. Albans for two days. I'm seriously wondering if I should fly AMS-LCY with Cityjet which isn't that bad and then go by public transport or if I should do easyjet to LTN which is very close to St. Albans.
Thing is.. I've heard so many horror stories about easyjet I am somewhat reluctant to travel with them. Trips like this I tend to travel handluggage but that's a bag that's within millimetres of the max allowance for KLM airfrance.

I'll bite as well.
I've taken easyjet about a dozen times travelling throughout Europe. My understanding is that they've recently began to clamp down on carry-on's but when I 1st went to Europe about 6-7years ago, I pretty much got away with murder in terms of being able to bring luggage! But alas, times change... (no I didn't literally murder anyone!- Hi CSIS!)
I last flew them last 2yrs ago and found it was fine. I'm presuming that the non-adjustable seats is a new thing though, because I never encountered that at all.
Anyways, I'd give them a shot, although personally my new "fave" budget European carrier, is Norweigian. I love having wifi! And the seats supposedly do recline (unlike ryanair) although I wasn't able to figure it out.
Easyjet used to be budget, but they're not so much anymore, but I will be flying with them again out of Gatwick to Zurich next month.

Thanks for biting! ^
If strict hand luggage and earlier gate closure are the only things then it does seem like a sensible option. Only real question then is do I trade KLM miles but a 90 minute public transport journey for my first trip on a budget airline with a 20 minute journey to my destination.
I'll think about that.

Easyjet are Europe's biggest airline. I've taken about 300 flights with them in the last 3 years and have no gripes. Often I need to fly on other airlines too. With EZY You get what you pay for. Print your boarding card and it has all the info such as baggage size and time gate closes. Read and follow these instructions and you'll have no issues. Now seats are assigned boarding is relatively calm. If you need food, they charge about the same as any airport (cheaper than say Berlin) and often have better choice on board. That flight is short. Flight staff are often nicer than legacy.

On what measure?
Most independent observers don't call it Europe's biggest LCC, let alone Europe's biggest overall airline.

In 2013, Ryanair carried 20 million more passengers than Easyjet.
