Easyjet cancellation question

Not sure if this is the correct place to post, but my parents were due to fly home from FAO to STN on the 15-Jan-2011 and they've just been told their flight is cancelled by U2. Not a major problem as they have access to where they are staying until the Sunday so have rebooked for the 16-Jan-2011, but just wondered if anyone had any idea why EZY3294 has been cancelled this far in advance?

Many thanks

Matt

Unhappy No and neither will they.

Asking about Easy jet and wanting to find a logical response is a waste of time - the company staff that I have dealt with are so lacking in logic, humilty and the idea of service that you are lucky that they have bothered to inform your parents.

I don't know the specific reason why the flight has been cancelled. Perhaps easyJet can explain if you contact them.

Many airlines have been affected by weather problems, which have led to many people's plans being disrupted across Europe. You may have read of snow in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and so on, seriously affecting airline routines.

I would say that U2 are performing correctly, giving decent notice of a flight cancellation/change some time in advance. I suspect that they offered the opportunity of a refund?

Unlike the other poster, I have found easyJet's staff helpful and reasonable.

Most likely an operational decision. They decided they needed the aircraft elsewhere or found out that they don't have crew to operate the flight.
