extra coverage, subtle push by agents

Has anyone noticed that the dollar agents have been pushing extra coverage lately. Everyone is covered by their own insurance and usually the card you use as well. I was told that with this extra coverage, "you would just walk away from any accident" I almost laughed int eh guys face but just said nah. They had a sheet with four different coverages at the RDU Dollar. I just thought it was stupid for this high school graduate trying to push this. The RDU Dollar sucked in customer service overall though.

The hard sell seems to vary a lot by agent. I've found the best way to avoid the whole ordeal is to sign up for their "fastlane" program where they collect your preferences upfront and usually don't ask you (or pressure you) again. Unlike some of the other car rental companies, the program is free.
