Chili's lowered prices

I went to Chili's yesterday, and found that many items had lower prices. In this economy, it's good to see restaurants control costs and pass the savings to the customers, albeit with their own interests in mind too.

Friday's has done the same thing... they have a $9.99 menu thas has many of their higher priced items on it.

I am a big fan of their "Jack Daniel's Chicken" that is normally $12.99 and it is on the $9.99 menu".

It's happening all over. Applebee's now has a two for $20 dinner menu consisting of an appetizer to share and a few main dishes. They also have a two for $26.99 menu, also with an appetizer but with more and better selections for the entree.
Red Lobster has been running some lunch specials for as little as $6.99.
If businesses don't make an effort to accommodate this economy, they will sink.

One thing we love at Applebee's is the 3 appetizers for $12.99. We split it, and it's plenty for both of us. We like to get the cheeseburger sliders, artichoke/spinach dip (with chips), and dynamite shrimp. Yummm!

The $6.99 is the lunch items without the salad, and it is a good value. I am glad restaurants are offering more options to customers. Otherwise, it's frozen dinners from home.

I got a coupon at work the other day from someone that had a 2-for-1 entree at Friday's. Good way to get a couple of meals for the price of one - one to eat then, one to have the next night.

Well I am rather frustrated that I am no longer saving as much money as I used to by not eating this crap, now that the crap costs less.

I've murdered the Friday's 1 cent appetizer with bar purchase coupon. I also received a $10 off ANY food purchase from them, which I will likely use on Thursday at MSP (who confirmed today that they accept corporate coupons) or I'll use the 1 cent appetizer coupon.

Yes, great coupons.... along with the $1 second entree.

When you also add in the "points" for their Stripes Club.... heck, you get free chips and salsa just for showing the card.... and then $8 off coupon once you have $10 in purchases.... makes Friday's a pretty reasonable option.
