Thoughtful concerns have been raised about this thread....
After due consideration, we've decided that in the interest of a) not creating an opportunity for post-padding -- intentional or not -- (barred by FT Rule 14); and b) having a thread that is not unintentionally dominated by a small number of people (giving space for other voices), going forward there will be a two-post-per 24 hours rule in place. We hope that this will give more diverse voices the opportunity to chime in.
We'll be merging or deleting posts that don't follow this rule.
Thanks for you understanding.

An old fashioned made with store-bought bourbon barrel aged old fashioned mix and Evan Williams single barrel vintage.
Trying to clear my liquor cabinet of all the mid shelf bourbon that's just taking up space.

I'm not familiar with this brand. I always thought the main choices were between Abuelita and Ibarra. I have some of each but prefer Abuelita. Is Mayordomo widely available outside of Mexico? How does it compare with the other two?

Mayordomo is THE most famous brand from Oaxaca; within the city of Oaxaca, there are also Mayordomo restaurants, selling among other things, chocolate caliente con pan dulce/pan de yema, omelettes with mole, and other local specialties.
Mayordomo is generally sold in rectangular boxes, and are very sturdy pieces of chocolate, used for hot chocolate.
