Artificial grape flavor never, ever tastes like real grapes to me, but those hard watermelon candies always make me think of the real thing. Artifical cherry or orange flavor never works for me either, but the sour apple candies are good. So I guess it's just a matter of personal preference (or my taste buds are all screwed up).
Sounds gross, but I love artificial butter flavor popping corn oil. It smells and takes nothing like fresh cream butter, of course, but if you could work "rat's ..." in, I think you'd have it.

OT: I'll take the grape off your hands for my watermelon. How I wish I could get customized bags of Jolly Ranchers. I hate watermelon.

When I was in high school, I used to love the artificial butter flavor oil, too, but a few days of working the concessions stand at the local multiplex cured me of that. Couldn't get the smell out of my clothes, and never had the desire for the "butter flavor" on top of my popcorn again.
