Barbecue fans?
It's not fine dining, but is anyone here as big of a BBQ enthusiast as I am?
If so, post your favorite BBQ joints..
I've tried almost all of the notable places in Kansas City, Memphis, and the Carolinas (No Texas yet..)
So far my favorite place is Arthur Bryant's in Kansas City.. Anyone ever eat there? Talk about some of the most flavorful smokey tasting ribs in the world..
#2 would be another KC joint (down the street as a matter of fact) called Gates' BBQ.. Not for ribs though, get the sliced beef.. I like their sauce better too..
I fly in once every couple months, rent a car, and fill up a cooler..

Check out CommunityBuzz. There was a MCI BBQ DO this year and last (it was a weekend of pure gluttony). My favorite is Fiorella's Jack Stack, followed by Arthur Bryant's.
When I'm in Southern California, Lucille's Smokehouse is pretty decent.

Even better still, have a look at the existing thread in DiningBuzz.
(Almost every cuisine has its own thread buried here - and this is a great one. It just needs some updating.
)
Best BBQ in the USA (250+ replies)
That said, there is delicious pork outside the US, too - though maybe not the same vinegary sauce.
New Zealand hangi pork... mmmm!

As we already have an extensive BBQ thread, I'm going to close this one
