If you can find "White Rock" it's a brand that all the top resturants use.. only sold through distributors.. I've not seen these the in te supermarkets for @ least 15 years... There cola is also very good with a bite.. like all there beverages..

I'll second, third and fourth Blenheim's out of SC. They are right on the SC/NC border, behind all the junk of South-of-the-border. But they don't offer visits.

My vote goes to: Stoney Tangawizi which is bottled only in Africa (by coke).
Very strong ginger taste and also very sweet. This was my (soft) drink of choice when I was living in Uganda.

(NB: in Massachusetts a "tonic" is anything carbonated, not just tonic/quinine water.) As a locavore-wannabe I do like the Polar ginger ale, made so close to BOS.

Edited to add: Fentiman's, too, though my wife will gladly kill to find Jamaica Old Tyme.

we already looked at WR as a generic brand, that is mostly watered down
OK maybe the best of the generics, but far from being anything of quality IMO

Diet Vernors - if drinking it straight (non-diet too sweet for me)
Polar golden - haven't had it in many years, but remember it fondly
Canada Dry - if mixing with Canadian whisky
Blenheim & ginger beers - too dang hot!

Vernors and Schweppes are my favorites. And according to Wikipedia, yea I know, they are two different styles of ginger ale.
