O/H

Caramelized Bacon would fit that description. You can find lots of recipes if you Google it. Supposedly keeps three days at room temperature -- if it lasts that long.

Voodoo Donuts in PDX has had their Maple Bacon donut for awhile now, and it's so good.

theit tag line is Everything should taste like bacon.

We need to revisit the thread on whether putting Bacon Salt on bacon itself would be overkill or just the next logical step. :D

I didn't know there were so many fellow bacon enthusiasts

Generally I go here for my bacon-related news.

Here's a cool idea - bacon vodka

Heres a question thats been puzzling me for a while....
Why cant America do proper bacon?
All you get is those thin strips of streaky bacon that is normally cooked so it snaps when you break it!
Streaky is ok for wrapping stuff in when cooking, but for a proper breakfast or bacon sandwich then back bacon is the only answer........:p

Somewhat timely. I just updated my blog with a basic Bacon-chocolate Brownie recipe.

It was most excellent, if I do say so myself.

We kept them in the fridge, but let them come to room temperature before eating.

Once bacon has been cooked - and dipped in chocolate, coated in brown sugar or whatever - how long do you think it can safely sit out? I usually treat bacon as meat, so it should be kept refrigerated. Does it have enough salt/preservatives to sit out at room temperature for a couple of days?

In the summer, when fresh tomatoes are available, I always keep baggies of crisp bacon at hand. I have kept it (refrigerated) for up to 2 weeks with no problem. It would probably keep longer, if I did not eat it!
