Lamar's donuts

At one time I had the great pleasure of having the most delicious donughts from a chain called Lamars.
This was in Las Vegas but apperently the company is out of the midwest.
The Las Vegas store has closed -did the company go out of buisiness?

lamars

yes, out of kc, i believe used to be one location in midtown kc, around 33-39 block of main. 5 minutes from downtown and 5 minutes from the world famous plaza area. the best doughnut ever... homer simpson would love them. also, if want the best steak ever visit piripos--spelling in kansas city, north 169 highway and briarcliff road, on way to kci, argentine place, best steak of all times. and for b-b-q please go to arthur bryants, the original, at 18th and brooklyn, in the hood, but safe. 2 minutes from downtown, the original arthur's, the one at casino is not to my liking or the one near the speedway in kansas city, kansas, ty.

Before this thread heads West

Is Las Vegas the centre of the universe for weight gain? At least as a holiday destination.

Other than the walk between casinos (unless one takes a car or the mobility scooter), it would seem that it is the home of the buffet / booze / gambling / cabana-ing / lazy boys and girls.

How many of the hotel gyms are ignored or used... Just wondering what percentage of guests might feel guilty and hence try a workout?

(I'd love to hear a report of a LV gym with treadmills doubling as VP or V BJ machines!)

I think cruise ships and LV are tied neck and neck.
There were slot machines at the Palace station that were hooked up to spinners(fancy exercise bikes-do not know if they are still there.)
I am pretty selective with my buffet choices-not like I used to be when I lived there and was looking for cheap eats. While I stlill pig out-I pig out at the Wynn/Belagio/Paris/Planet Hollywood-not cheap eats.

But Lamars is worth the calories

We have one here in Oxford, AL. Donuts too big & too sweet. Nasty Coffee. And, how can a donut chain be successful without a double letter name?

Before this thread is sent to the West forum...

Are Lamar's also in TX? I guess tonight would have been a very good night!

I associate Houston and donuts, for some reason.

BGIP:

I'm not a huge donut fan, but you might give Stan's a try next time you are over by UCLA.
