I agree 100% with Gaucho, that stuff is delicious! I got to taste a 1999 or 2000 about 6 months ago and was blown away by the complexity and elegance, didn't have the power or a younger malbec but it was like liquid velvet across the palate.
On a side note, last night I had the 2008 Maipe Malbec. RP gave it 90, I'd say he's right. Absolutely delicious for under 10$. ^

Please tell me it's exported? If it is, I can probably figure out who distributes it in California
Yes - Benegas is slowly but surely expanding its network of US distributors.
You may not be able to find all wines from the Estate but at least a few labels should be available.

Buenos dias!
My wife and I love it here in BA. So much so, that we've extended our stay another week!
Gaucho (or any other wine lovers out there), we are looking into taking a dozen bottles of Malbec back to the States. Ideally, those wines that are not widely distributed in the US and will cost approximatly 10 to 15 USD per bottle.
Any suggestions would be appreciated...
Tim
