Can't it be exported to somewhere where it could be sold legally?
I'm sure someone could make a fortune taking it to China.... that 'someone' could be beneficiaries of an orphans and widows fund, for instance.
A crying shame, on so many levels.

Might be time for your emergency kit:
two bags of grass, 75 pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers . . . and also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of Budweiser, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls"
Although, Nashville might not be a good town for psychodelic drugs. Menancing vibrations are all around.

Agreed, as a child of BNA who thankfully lives elsewhere. This incident illustrates one of the conundrums of Middle Tennessee, where SBC/CofC/assorted Fundie moralism becomes institutionalized and seemingly trumps all...after all, JD is distilled and aged in a dry county. And the BNA area isn't called "Protestant Vatican" for nothing
And this comes from a BNA native who doesn't even like the taste of Jack (I go for scotch whisky, aged tequilas and gold rums meself). That being said, paraphrasing Goldwater:

The defense of Tennessee whiskey is no vice.

I can't believe that antique whiskey bottles with whicky sitll on board sells for multi thousands of bucks!
I love Jack, but wouldnt spend the money to buy at auction.
It is still a shame to pour it down the drain.
Like one article said Jack didnt do anything, punish the people, keep the Jack@:-)

Couldn't it go into a 'Prohibition Museum' as an exhibit, to illustrate how liquor licensing and policing works?
Do you like that as a future tourism attraction to a 'Sin City'?

No matter whether you're a drinker or not, I am by the way, but pouring it out doesn't punish the guy selling it illegally. It punishes both the consumer and the industry in my eyes. I agree that you could auction for charity.
A real shame!
