Peppermint JoJos Sightings?

Last holiday season I discovered Peppermint JoJos - Trader Joe's version of Oreos with crushed up candy canes in the minty filling. Delicious!

I bought two boxes in Burbank, and loved them so much that I bought six more boxes closer to home in Maryland a couple of weeks later.

I even served them up on a silver platter on Christmas Eve surrounded by my homemade peppermint bark.

I don't know if it is a rational fear, but I am somewhat worried that I won't be able to get them this year.

So help a Flyertalker out, and please post your Peppermint JoJos sightings. I am willing to travel to procure my stash! TIA.

Might be a bad idea to admit that. We'll try not to hound you with too many questions.

But yeah, I'd love to know the rough date at least of when these should turn up in the store. I completely missed them last year, they were apparently gone that quick....

Oh, I'm eager to know this too! I bought a box last year, and when I went to get more, they were gone. Sigh.

I have some good information that they're on the way, at least out here on the west coast.

Score One for Trader Joe's East Coast

While I was reading this thread, I thought I should pick up the phone and call my local store in Towson, MD.

The woman that I talked to was very nice, and said that they were in stock, on the shelf and she has already eaten some. It was like she stuck a dagger thru my heart.

I pretty much threw away my lunch and raced down to buy 20 boxes. This year they are calling them Candy Cane Joe-Joe's and the boxes are red and white rather than pink and white.

As I was loading up my cart, another shopper became curious about them, picked them up, looked at the nutrition information, put them down and said "too many Weight Watcher's Points." Uuuuh, okay.

So the same shopper was behind me at check out and asked me how long all of those cookies will last me - as if I am eating them all?!? Uuuuh, okay.

I better start eating soon if I have 44,800 calories of Candy Cane goodness to consume!

They've been on the shelf at TJ's north of Seattle since about Nov. 5. We bought three boxes, but we're going back for 30 more. ^

We have zilch so far, was there today. I wasn't in the mood to ask about it, we just got some of our other usual stuff anyway. Will check with them again soon. If everyone's going to go in and buy so many boxes, they'll be gone in no time. Did get to try the Double Rainbow pumpkin ice cream, wow, that stuff is good.

So lets see. If you are in for 33 boxes, and I have bought only 20 boxes, then I need to buy 14 boxes more to have more Candy Cane Joe-Joe's than you!

So I have a degree in Journalism. Not math. Oh, and did I mention that I bought them with my United Mileage Plus Visa?

Thankfully we all know what a non-competitive bunch those Flyertalkers are!

Fine. Both you and that woman who told me earlier today that she has already eaten Joe-Joe's both strike a dagger thru my heart.

And for the record, I had them in my house for a little more than 10 hours before I tore into a box. And they were every bit as good as I remembered from last year.

Take that!

FYI...peppermint JoJos taste AMAZING when dipped in chocolate. My sister brought some at Christmas and I couldn't stop eating them.

If only I lived in a decent city that had a TJs...
