I'm still a big fan of Hershey's chocolate syrup. I still have them mixed in for a milk drink regularly. Must be the childness inside me. :p

UCBeau Dec 15, 2007 12:13 am

availability is still strong here on the west coast, so if anyone needs some, please feel free to let me know :)

marion10 Dec 15, 2007 12:44 am

I bought four boxes tonight in LaGrange Illinois and picked up two Peppermint Jo- Jo cheesecakes as well.

krobbins Dec 17, 2007 7:58 am

Maybe it's a good thing you didn't know, or eating one might actually still your beating heart! :)

I didn't buy any last year, but seeing them in the store I thought of this thread and picked up a box.

Hokey smokes, Bullwinkle...they're pretty darn good! I'll have to get more!

Calcifer Nov 22, 2008 12:00 pm

So after following this thread and never being able to find any, I snagged a box a few weeks ago when they started putting out the Christmas cookies with the full intent of not busting them out until after Thanksgiving. :o They were a big hit in the office, and not disgustingly sweet, either (real Oreos tend to make my teeth hurt). Had one coworker who thought they were gross, but he doesn't like mint flavor.

SixAlpha Nov 29, 2008 11:34 am

They're up in Cincinnati now!

UCBeau Dec 2, 2008 3:29 pm

out here too ;)

bigguyinpasadena Dec 2, 2008 3:45 pm

no regular JoJos in Pasadena

Just the chocolate covered ones!
And where are the Cocoa Almonds? There are DARK cocoa almonds but not the regular ones I need to send to Kentuky

UCBeau Dec 2, 2008 4:43 pm

Which TJ's did you try? I'm fairly close to the Arroyo store and within a short drive of the La Canada and Eagle Rock stores--I can reconnoiter and let you know.

UCBeau Dec 5, 2008 1:32 am

No need to drive to the stores, just call and ask. Any store within a specific region can look up the status of an item. Just beware that Norcal and SoCal stores sometimes have differing supplies of things.

bigguyinpasadena Dec 6, 2008 7:10 pm

The Lake/Del Mar location is my(very)regular store. Great staff, and I am there usually twice a week in the early am

hlburi Dec 8, 2008 10:34 am

I HATE that we don't have Trader Joe's in Houston.

I had never been to that one until this weekend--nice store, much more spacious and with better parking than the Arroyo location. But alas (and as I'm sure you know already), didn't see the cocoa almonds. We did get non-chocolate-covered JoJos, though. :)

This has been Pasadena Trader Joe's Talk. Back to your regular programming. :o

yes-I found the Pepermint JoJo's today-they had them hidden with the regular JoJo's
That Arroyo store is so cramped-and the parking lot is a hazzard zone!Same for the Mission store.

Glad you liked the Del Mar store.Friendly staff there also.

Trust me, I have. :D I'm sure they are sick of hearing from me.

We actually have some neat grocery stores here, I wouldn't trade Central Market for anything...but I'd love to have a TJ's close by too. They carry stuff that I can't always find anywhere else, like these Joe Joe things.

The funny thing is, I found someone on eBay who is selling them...so I bought a couple of boxes there.

I think if I were near a TJ's, I'd start a side biz selling their stuff on eBay too.

I want a couple of their reuseable shopping bags.

bigguyinpasadena Dec 10, 2008 3:55 pm

"I want a couple of their reuseable shopping bags"
as good a reason as any for a mileage run :D

boxo Dec 28, 2008 9:58 pm

TJ's on Green Valley, Henderson, NV had a nice BIG end display yesterday. First time to actually purchase them myself. Stocked up on 6 boxes. :o

tatia Jan 2, 2009 3:56 pm

I had no idea there was a secondary market for TJ's products! I'm only two miles from a store; perhaps I should set up a delivery system, something like the airline club meet up board but with TJ products handoffs :);)

Tatia

There is definitely a market. I've bought a few TJ things on eBay.

Roaming Ryan Oct 9, 2010 5:52 pm

Any ideas when the Jo Jos will arrive this year?

Calcifer Dec 7, 2010 1:47 pm

I got my stash for the year--woot!

Roaming Ryan Dec 7, 2010 2:35 pm

Same here! They even have peppermint jojo icecream this year.

cawhite Nov 28, 2012 1:18 pm

It's that time of year again...

and I can't believe this thread hasn't been bumped up for nearly two years. :p

In Indianapolis (86th Street) I saw both Candy Cane JoJos and Peppermint JoJos (Candy Cane JoJos covered in dark chocolate and crushed candy canes).

lalala Dec 2, 2012 8:11 am

Peppermint JoJos Sightings?

Avail in Seattle

FlyinHawaiian Dec 2, 2012 8:43 am

We got ours in Paramus, NJ before Thanksgiving. The TJ's in Pasadena on Lake has quite a bit of related items.

youreadyfreddie Dec 4, 2012 9:53 pm

All Peppermint Jo Joed up at TJ's in Reston, Virginia.

obscure2k Dec 7, 2012 6:11 pm

T.J.'s in West L.A. has them. (Westwood on Glendon, and Barrington & Olympic locations) is where I have seen them.

Giggleswick Dec 7, 2012 6:53 pm

Available in the East Bay near San Francisco since about two weeks ago, and still in stock, as far as I've seen ...so nice to know I'm not the only lunatic out there who anxiously awaits their appearance.

TJ's has lots of other chocolatey things available only at holiday time, too, even ones with no apparent connection to the season. They have dark chocolate covered ginger cookies, which I'd never seen there before. Good news for anyone who, like me, who always brings Marks & Spencer's version home from trips to the UK.

TrueBlueFlyer Dec 7, 2012 8:03 pm

there's plenty of them at the Paramus, NJ TJ's... already polished off two boxes, all by myself :)
