froogle.com will get you the 2007 Singapore guide (but has to be shipoped from Singapore). My guess is most large bookstores in SIN can ship books abroad.

Popular Bookstore is one of the bigger local bookstores... And did a search on there, and found the book (though it shows a 5th edition as opposed to the latest edition 6) and the malaysian version too...

https://www.popular.com.sg/jsp/produ...ORD=makansutra

If u die die must get the latest edition, u can try here...

Thanks erik123, for some reason the sole book seller that came up on Froogle does not ship to the US.

I forgot to mention their shipping policy.... From their website, it appears that they do ship to the states... Anyway, would be good to check with them on the rates... Good luck and enjoy the books...

U're more than welcome...

And S$44 shipping cost for S$23 worth of books is kinda steep... But that seems to be the case for shipping nowadays...

Since u are heading over to Singapore, why not use their self-collection service??? U can collect the books at their store in Orchard MRT Station... And u save the S$8 shipping cost for local delivery... With that amount saved, u can buy me a bunch of yummy satay's!!!

I'm only in SIN on my next trip there from midnight till 6am, plus I'd like to have the books to pre-plan my eats while in KUL where I fly to in the morning after arriving into SIN.

Hmm, i guess having the books delivered to your hotel might be the best option then...

Come to think of it... S$44 (~US$30) for shipping isn't that bad for two books... pretty much the same price for USA companies to send merchandise overseas... I think we are spoilt by the free local shipping offer in the states here...

Too bad I ain't in SIN... Else, i could have sent u a copy and charge u a dozen of satay's, a plate of rojak, and hot and spicy sambal stingray... oh and wash that down with a glass of sugar cane juice splashed a hint of lemon... lol
